What to Expect if Your Home Is Sold

At Skyward Property Services, we believe tenants should feel secure, informed, and respected when a property changes ownership.

If the home you live in is purchased by us, our approach is straightforward: maintain stability, communicate clearly, and minimise disruption.


Will I Have to Move Out?

In most cases, no.

We purchase properties with tenants in situ, which means your tenancy continues under the same terms. Our focus is on long-term, responsible ownership, not unnecessary evictions or disruption.

If any changes were ever required, these would:

  • Be communicated clearly and well in advance
  • Follow your tenancy agreement
  • Comply fully with UK housing regulations

What Happens to My Tenancy?

  • Your tenancy agreement remains valid
  • Your legal rights are fully protected
  • Day-to-day living arrangements remain unchanged

A change in ownership does not automatically affect your tenancy.

What About My Rent?

Your rent will continue in line with your existing tenancy agreement. In some cases, where rent is significantly below current market levels, a rent review may be required. If this applies:

  • Any review will be carried out lawfully and fairly
  • You will be informed clearly and in advance
  • Changes will follow the terms of your tenancy agreement and UK housing regulations

Our aim is to balance affordability for tenants with responsible property ownership.

What About My Letting Agent?

Where possible, your current letting agent will continue to manage the property.

This helps ensure:

  • Familiar points of contact
  • Continuity of maintenance and repairs
  • Minimal disruption to day-to-day matters
